path for em(enterprise manager) metadata files in OIM 11g

if you want to export, import or delete files from MDS database it is highly recommended to export and make changes than import files into MDS.

here is the path to do that(name may different as per your environment)


Identity and Access
--> right Click and select System MBeans Browser
-->Application Defined MBeans
-->Oracle.mds.lcm
-->Server:oim_server1(default servername)
-->Application: OIMMetadata
-->MDSAppRuntime
-->MDSAppRuntime

once u click on MDSAppRuntime screen at your right side will see screen name Application Defined MBeans: MDSAppRuntime.

select Action from the top of the screen and for exporting you have to have a folder created at your local machine to export it to.

when importing make sure to give folder name it will import everything inside the folder and subfolder.

while deleting it is recommended to create another folder and put the file you want to delete inside the folder. delete action always require file name whatever file name you will mention it will delete that file. if you have only one file inside the folder, once you specify file path including folder it will delete file and folder.
