OIM 11gR2ps2 provisioning error An error occurred in oracle.iam.provisioning.plugins.AppInstanceDatasetPlugin (associating resouce to Application instance)

error showing up while provisioning OID resource from OIM.

SEVERE: An error occurred in oracle.iam.provisioning.plugins.AppInstanceDatasetPlugin as no form is associated to application instance OID. This will cause problem while creating request. Please associate form to application instance OID.
Solution:

as error said you have create application instance after configuring OID connector but you did not assign Application instance to connector. in order to do that. follow these steps

1. login to System Admin Console
2. select  Application instances
3. click on search all the instance are will be show(if no instance is shown you have to create new
4. instance in order to associate it to Resource).
5. once you click Application instance you create previously(for me it is OID), new widow will open.
6. at Attribute Tab there will be  filed Form once you click drop down you will see you Resource(my resource name was OID).
7. select resource (OID).
8. Apply change.

now you will be able to use your Resource because it is associated with Application Instance. in order to use any resource it needs to be associated with any Application Instance.





 create new instance --> select Application instance and assiciate form(it is a small drop down
list and select your IT resource.
